MMed (Family Medicine) (Singapore)
Dip Prac Derm (Distinction) (Cardiff, UK)
Dr. Joanna Chan graduated from the National University of Singapore and went on to complete Residency training, obtaining her post-graduate degrees of Masters in Family Medicine and Diploma in Practical Dermatology. She has also completed a Diploma course with the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine (AAAM) and is accredited by the Singapore Medical Council Aesthetic Practice Oversight Committee to perform aesthetic procedures.
In her practice, the aesthetic doctor is a professional who provides individualized and holistic care, to guide one towards healthy skin and the confidence to look his or her best at any age or stage in life. She hopes to be able to help her patients achieve this with her talents and skills. Dr. Joanna’s wish is to practice aesthetics with a broader view beyond treatment protocols, devices and injections, and is often interested in discussing other aspects of health, such as preventive medicine and emotional wellness, with her patients.
Sound, evidence-based practices and safety are key to her practice and she keeps abreast of the latest technology and advancements in the field of aesthetic medicine by attending both local and international conferences.
When off-duty, you may find Dr. Joanna at one of the community hospices, where she provides inpatient palliative care once a week. Or perhaps she may be at the dance studio, her happy place outside of work, practising her lines and pointed toes.
